Two Models of Fuansaldaña Castle
The castle was built in the 15th century in the town of Fuensaldaña, 6 kilometers away. of Valladolid. It has a square floor and a large keep. It was the noble residence of the Nursery, nobles of Galician origin. It has had various palatial uses, having also been the seat of the Cortes of Castilla y León. It was restored and reopened as a museum at the beginning of 2019. In this museum castle, two models made by us are exhibited, both represent the castle itself, one at 1:25 scale and the other at 1:50 scale.
The scale model 1:25 one of the main attractions of the exhibition. It has several peepholes in the walls, through which you can see slides with representations of the time. It is more than five feet tall. The finish is rough and is lacquered in broken white. Due to its size, this model had to be manufactured in four parts to be transported and assembled in the place where it is exposed.
The scale model 1:50 is the only one of the museum that takes relief in the walls and towers, and all the coats of arms. It is lacquered in white broken like other models. In a nearby wall, 3D images of the castle are projected.
