Model of the Medieval City of Baiona
Historical Model of the city of Baiona. At a scale of 1:500, measuring 300×150, with lighting in different colors to distinguish the various historical periods of the city.
It represents most of the urban center of Baiona, in Pontevedra, a historic city that in 1493 welcomed Martín Alonso Pinzón upon his return from his voyage to America, being the first town in Europe to learn about the discovery of the New World.
In the model, it is possible to illuminate, using switches, Baiona from the 13th-14th centuries, 14th-15th centuries, 16th century, 17th-18th centuries, and the city’s main monuments. It is displayed at the city’s Navigation Museum.
